Halloween Headstones – It’s Easy, Cheap & Fun to Make Your Own

The beauty of DIYing anything is that we get exactly what we want. In the case of these DIY Halloween Headstones, they can be any size and any shape. They can also say exactly what we want them to say.

Three Sizes to Choose From!

I’ve been making them in three sizes. Little ones that are perfect for the table top. These minature graveyard headstones, engraved with guests names, make fun place cards at a Halloween dinner party table.

I also made a medium size one as part of a Halloween display for the table in my entryway.

Last I made my pièce de résistance. A large full size headstone that turned out so great I did a giddy little “happy dance” when I saw how great it looked in my in my front yard!

A Quick Little Tangent. . .

So a serrated knife will work just fine, it’s how I’ve cut styrofoam sheeting for years. BUT. . . Then I graduated to using an electic knife, which goes even faster

NOW I’ve moved up in the world to using a nifty little Hot Knife! The Hot Knife cuts so fast and most important, so cleanly. The biggest bonus is that the Hot Knife completely eliminates all those messy, clingy little styrofoam ball thingys that get everywhere! After trying it I’m totally sold on it.

Did you even know there’s such a thing as a Hot Knife? I didn’t until recently. And it’s only $30 on Amazon, if you order it now and it’ll be on your doorstep tomorrow. It’s such a fun tool to use for this Headstone project! And it makes the project so much easier and turn out so much better!

This is the Hot Knife I have HERE You want one of these for doing this project!

And Now, Back To Headstone Creation . . .
